We understand you are all feeling a little anxious and maybe concerned about travelling during the Coronavirus outbreak. We want you to know that our customers health and safety is of upmost importance to us and we are closely monitoring the situation daily with reports and information coming in from AFTA (Australian Federation of Travel Agents), the WHO (World Health Organisation) and DFAT (Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) and of course we will be acting in line with AFTA guidelines should tours become affected.
Luckily to date, none of our tours have been affected and we have been operating departures as scheduled. Currently the only country with a Level 4 travel warning [Do Not Travel] is China.
If you would like to check the travel warnings for any country please have a look on the Smart Traveller website by clicking here.
Should DFAT impose a Level 4 travel warning to a country we have immediate departures to, we will be in touch with all members of affected tour groups personally with their options. We strongly advise that you contact your travel insurance provider and familiarise yourself with their policy around epidemics if you choose not to travel.
From the daily updates we receive from the WHO, we are confident the situation will soon be under control so we advise you to keep your travel plans as they are. Don't act hastily and cancel your plans, only to rebook them next month when all is well again! Get yourself well acquainted with facts and don't listen too much to the media. We got over Swine Flu, Bird Flu, SARS and the like... CVirus will be done and dusted before we know it 😀
