With our 10 Day Myanmar Tour you can really experience the beauty of this amazing country and its people.  Explore the spectacular temples of Bagan that date back to the 11th century, and cruise along the tranquil InLe Lake as you witness local life on the floating villages.  Visit the breathtaking gilded Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, and tour the city of Mandalay. Take the opportunity of a lifetime and embark on a hot air balloon ride [optional] over the countless temples of Bagan at sunrise.

This 10 day package has a maximum of 10 people in a tour, includes 3x domestic flights for ease of travel, a professional and passionate English speaking guide, transfers, daily breakfast and much more.

DAY 1: Arrive Yangon, Myanmar

Your holiday to Myanmar begins with an airport pick by a tour representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure to explore the steamy South East Asian capital.

DAY 2: Yangon

Explore the city of Yangon today on a city tour and learn about its vast culture and traditions. We start with a tour to century-old buildings learning about Yangon’s colonial past, then we visit BoGyoke (Scott) Market for a spot of souvenir shopping, the Royal Lake and then enjoy a spectacular sunset at the famous landmark ShweDaGon Pagoda.

DAY 3: Yangon ~ InLe Lake

This morning transfer to airport and take the short flight to Heho. On arrival at Heho airport you will be met by a tour rep and transferred to the village of NyaungShwe, the gateway to the magnificent Inle Lake. The rest of the day is at your own leisure; explore the villages and countryside by bicycle, treat yourself to a massge in a day spa, take a boat ride on the lake or just soak up the culture. The locals are friendly and it's the perfect place to chill out or get active.

DAY 4:  InLe Lake 

Spend the day relaxing on an enjoyable boat trip across beautiful InLe Lake observing Myanmar rural life. Then continue sightseeing to visit Phaung-Daw-OO Pagoda, the most important symbol of religion of Shan State, the attractive wooden Nga-Phe-Chaung Monastery and the Floating Villages. A visit to these sights provides deep insight into how the people on the lake make their livings. After lunch, we will proceed to Indein and we will then take a short trek to Indein Pagoda. On the way, you can enjoy the serene atmosphere as you wander through artfully scattered 8th century Pagodas in ruins covered by trees and bushes. Then observe Intha tribes Village lives and enjoy the local market along the shore.

DAY 5 : InLe Lake ~ Mandalay 

After breakfast we transfer back to Heho airport for another short flight to Mandalay. On your arrival, relax in the hotel until near sunset, then you will be driven to the famous U Bein Bridge for a stunning sunset view. Gotta love the sunsets in Myanmar! U Bein Bridge is believed to be the oldest and longest teakwood bridge in the world; standing strong since 1850 and 1.2km long. Rest of the evening at leisure.

DAY 6: Mandalay 

Today you embark on a sightseeing excursion to the surrounding cities of Mandalay. You will have the opportunity to watch the monks during worship at a monastery, before proceeding to Sagaing via a silk weaving centre. In Sagaing we will visit Kaung-Mhu-Daw Pagoda, an enormous dome shaped pagoda and Sagaing Hills, where lots of Buddhist monasteries are situated. From there, the view is spectacular over the Irrawaddy River and numerous pagodas and monasteries. One of the major tourist attractions in Sagaing Hill is the stunning U Min Thonze Pagoda.

Next stop is Inwa, where you will take horse & cart ride to visit 27-metre-high Masonry Watch Tower, NanMyint (or) the ”Leaning Tower of Inwa”; BaGaYa Monastery built with 276 teak pillars and observe Myanmar tradition Alms bowls workshop. Back to Mandalay for the night.

DAY 7: Mandalay ~ Bagan

Today we travel overland by private car to Bagan; the city of 4 million pagodas.  On arrival take some time to relax in the hotel before an excursion to watch the intricate production of lacquer ware, made around twisted bamboo and horse hair. Next you will learn about the making of Bagan's most popular food 'Pone Yay Gyi' a black paste made from raw soy beans. 

Finally we will visit peaceful Taung Bi Village to meet some local villages and learn about their way of life.

DAY 8: Bagan 

Bagan is one of the richest archaeological sites in Asia and a favourite from most travellers who visit Myanmar. Today there are more than 2000 pagodas left standing in Bagan and we will take you on a mesmerising tour of this archaeological site. You will first visit Nyaung U Market, a bustling market where your guide will help you to discover a variety of Burmese traditional breakfasts. Enjoy breakfast at a local tea house, which is situated next to the market, a great spot for people watching and observing local life. Then, we will visit a number of incredible temples including Shwe-Zi-Gon Pagoda, Hti-Lo-Min-Lo Temple, Ananda Temple, That-Byin-Nyu Temple, Dham-Ma-Yan-Gyi Temple, ending with the Shwe-San-Daw Pagoda in time to witness another superb sunset from the top.

DAY 9: Bagan ~ Yangon

After breakfast at hotel, you will be transferred to the airport to take a short flight back to Yangon. On your arrival, you will be met by your transfer team and you will then be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

DAY 10: End of Tour
