Japan tour deals for 2021 and 2022 have arrived at MyHoliday2! Our short 7 day highlights of Japan tour is a great introduction to this awesome country. Starting in Tokyo you have the option of a free day to explore the city at leisure. Alternatively you can take an optional sightseeing tour.

After Tokyo, we depart for Hamamatsu. On the way we will visit an iconic Japanese sight – Mount Fuji. Stop here for a stroll around Gotema Peace Park and a visit around a local beer factory. Try a Japanese beer made with fresh water off Mount Fuji! Gotema Peace Park offers stunning vistas of the mountain and great photograph opportunities.  The tour concludes in Osaka with a visit to Osaka Castle.

DAY 1: Arrive Tokyo

When you arrive in Tokyo, make your own way to the hotel. The hotel is conveniently linked to Tokyo Haneda Airport by its own shuttle bus [not included] and can also be easily reached by train. Situated 5 minutes on foot from Omori Station and 7 minutes from Omorikaigan Station. The rest of the day is at your own leisure. Private airport transfers can be purchased for $110 per person per way, alternatively we can give you detailed directions should you choose to catch the train.

OVERNIGHT: Hotel MyStays Premier Omori, Tokyo

DAY 2: Tokyo Free Day

Today you get to explore this amazing city at your own pace. Tokyo has many areas and suburbs to explore so it is a good idea to reserach where you want to visit beforehand. The hotel is situated 5 minutes on foot from Omori Station and 7 minutes from Omorikaigan Station, both the JR Line and Keihin Kyuko Line provide easy access to the city. Tokyo is a very easy city to navigate and get around independently on public tranasport.

One day is enough to get a taste of Tokyo. Just don’t try to see too much. We would recommend a visit Asakusa, Shibuya, Harajuku and Roppongi. Alternatively, we offer a Tokyo city tour for JPY 13,000 per person. This tour will incorporate: Odaiba – Statue of Liberty Republica and Rainbow Bridge. Tsukiji fish market where you will have free time here to get lunch (sushi yum!). Tokyo metropolitan government building. Asakusa and Olympic related sightseeing spots.

DAY 3: Tokyo ~ Mt Fuji ~ Hamamatsu

This morning, after a hotel buffet breakfast, we depart for Hamamatsu (260km). On the way we stop at one of Japan’s most iconic sites – Mt Fuji. While we are at the Mt Fuji stop, you will visit the Gotemba Peace Park. The park is famous for its majestic views of Mt. Fuji, which are particularly attractive during the spring and autumn season. Within the park there is a Buddhist stupa and a pretty Japanese garden. In this area we will also take a tour around Kirin Beer Factory, a beer with a clear and rich flavour made from the famous water of Mt. Fuji and select ingredients. Taste some of this special local craft beer at the foot of the famous mountain. If time permits we will also stop at Miho-no-Matsubara, a scenic area on the Miho Peninsula. Its seven-kilometre seashore is lined with pine trees and offers stunning vistas.

Afterwards, we continue to Hamamatsu for the night. Check in at the hotel and the remainder of the day is at your own leisure.

DAY 4: Hamamatsu ~ Osaka

This morning we leave Hamamatsu and head to Osaka (270km). En-route we stop at Igaru Ninja Museum. The small but well done Iga Ninja Museum delivers a comprehensive ninja experience. It consists of a ninja residence, two exhibition halls and a stage which hosts ninja shows. The ninja residence looks ordinary from the outside, but within it is devised with revolving walls, trap doors and hidden compartments. Visitors are given a guided tour around the house with explanations on its various contraptions!

Upon arrival in Osaka, we will visit the impressive Osaka Castle. Osaka Castle is a Japanese castle in Chūō-ku. The castle is one of Japan’s most famous landmarks and it played a major role in the unification of Japan during the sixteenth century of the Azuchi-Momoyama period. The remainder of the day is at your own leisure.

DAY 5: Osaka Free Day

Spend the full day at your own leisure, exploring beautiful Osaka at your own pace. Alternatively, take our optional tour to visit nearby Kyoto [JPY 15,000 per person]. The Kyoto day tour includes return bullet train tickets from Osaka and you will visit Fushimi Inari Taishi; an important Shinto shrine. Arashiyama; an iconic Bamboo Grove and Instagram dream! you will also visit the Golden Pavillion; one of the most popular buildings in Kyoto.

DAY 6: Osaka Free Day

Another full day at your own leisure to explore beautiful Osaka at your own pace. There are many things to do in Osaka, including Kamigata Ukiyoe Museum for Japanese art. You can Explore Sumiyoshi Shrine, which is known to be one of the oldest shrines in Japan. You can get a spectacular view from the top of the Umeda Sky Building, live it up in Dontonburi district or try some delicious delicacies. There is plenty to do in Osaka to keep you entertained for days.

DAY 7: Departure

This morning after breakfast and check out you will make your own way to the airport for your onward flight. Airport transfer can be purchased for $110 per person per way, alternatively you can use public transport. We hope you enjoyed your tour of Japan.
